Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Needa mobile application and website at needaapp.com (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Needa. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

You may use core features of Needa without an account. To add or confirm amenities and save locations, you must create an account using a valid email address, Google account, or Apple ID.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must notify us immediately at hello@needaapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or are inactive for an extended period.

Needa allows you to submit amenity locations, notes, confirmations, and flags ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you:

• Confirm that the amenity exists in the real world and that your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• Grant Needa a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to store, display, and distribute that content to other users of the Service.
• Understand that your submission may be visible to other users once verified.

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, because amenity data is inherently factual and geographic in nature, we may retain and continue displaying verified amenity data even after you delete your account, in an anonymized form.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, fabricated, duplicate, or misleading amenity data
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to submit or confirm amenities
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits or abuse prevention systems
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service in bulk
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Harass, impersonate, or harm other users

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities.

The Needa name, logo, app design, and original content are owned by Needa and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding or reproduce our proprietary content without written permission.

Map data is sourced from OpenStreetMap, which is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). User-submitted amenity data collected through Needa is owned by Needa subject to the license grant above.

Amenity data on Needa is sourced from OpenStreetMap and community contributions. While we use a confidence scoring and verification system to improve accuracy, we cannot guarantee that any amenity is currently available, accessible, or at the listed location.

Always use your own judgment. Needa is a discovery tool, not a guarantee of availability. We are not responsible for wasted trips, inaccessible facilities, or decisions made based on app data. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the right to access any location before visiting. Needa does not verify whether amenities are located on public or private property.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Needa and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to reliance on inaccurate amenity data, loss of data, or personal injury.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account from within the app under Settings → Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in US courts.
